Community Development

This ministry, like agriculture, was never restarted after it was halted in the 90's. As we begin to develop plans for reinstating it, one area always stands out: "Micro Loans". CGGC micro loan programs have had great success in Venezuela and Kenya and success by other organizations are occurring in Haiti. Some other areas of community development we are investigating and are involved with are clean water projects and building low cost houses under a system similar to Habitat for Humanity. Our plan is to not build a whole community but to find those without adequate shelter who may already own land and be willing to give some sweat equity back plus a small annual payback to receive a new home.
